We absolutely talk about the hit movie “La La Land” this week though we start with a talk about musicals in general. Travis says he’s a fan of musicals but I don’t necessarily think he does.
After a brief conversation, and a list of musicals that I DO like, we get into La La Land itself. It is a surprisingly good movie. I’ve read in a few places that it is a critics “new favorite”. Although I can’t get behind that notion (or the notion that it was only “meh”) I did really like the movie.
I’m glad Travis MADE me watch it.
After we recorded, I keep thinking of other musicals that I like, I’ll end these notes with lyrics from the musical I remember most recently.
