Ep 68 – Comic Cinematic Revolution Panel

Episode 68

When we hit up our first con and grabbed our first ever press passes, Travis and I were on top of the world! When we hit up our second con, we rented a table and had so many people stopping by, talking to us, and we were on top of the world! But then this weekend happened…When we interviewed the great Jimmy and Bill Jay, owners and organizers of Amazing Comic Con, we’d hoped to help out with the convention in some way, maybe even run around and get coffee (for ourselves… we did that), but we certainly didn’t expect for them to give us the opportunity to get up in front of a crowd and blather on with such great personalities (Emma Fyffe, Meredith Placko and the renowned Scott Lobdell).

We were on top of the world!

For those of you who know us, our motto for this year has been “pen to paper”. The point, of course, being that we need to get out there, outside our comfort zone, and just do it. Getting up in front of a crowd, out from behind the mic, isn’t something we’d ever have expected to do, but by doing so, we’ve learned a lot about ourselves. We’ve learned more about what our abilities are beyond recording in my dirty, cluttered garage.

I want to throw this out as a last note. We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity given to us by Amazing Comic Con (Jimmy and Bill Jay), and working with Emma Fyffe, Scott Lobdell and Meredith Placko. Most importantly, we’re thankful for the folks that attended the panel. Without them, without you, our current listeners, there isn’t a show.

I feel like we’re on top of the world!
